If you hover over a single (square) or multi-button (rounded), a popup menu will tell you what object(s) it selects. If it's more than a few, it doesn't give detail on the rest, but if you select it, Maya will of course have those objects selected and you can list the selected objects in Maya via sc...

Re: namespace issue and questions
If the Picker was authored with the character referenced in (which is the best way), you have to do the same. That way, you can assign it to the proper namespace.
Sounds like you opened or imported the file. Try *referencing* the rig in.

Make sure you have a picker tab open. Select something on the rig then right click on the interface to make a button.
It's much better if it's a REFERENCED character rig.

Sometimes the focus is in Picker instead of the Maya interface. You may have to middle click in the Maya interface to get it back.

Re: Saving picker in maya scene?
If you make a new picker and save the Maya scene, the picker data is stored in the scene.
Of course, normally you want to store it separately, so you can use it in other scenes as well. To do that, save it from within AnimSchool Picker.

Hello! You have to REFERENCE your rig file into another Maya scene. In that new scene with the referenced rig, each obje...

You can certainly edit the existing script, but you'd have to identify or make similar transform nodes in your rig.
