You need to make a command button.
Just take a look at some of the other toggle buttons on Malcolm's picker to get the idea.

Re: Wrap Deformet on the Face
For some absurd reason, Maya hides the object from rendering when a wrap deformer is applied to it.
Just turn back on the render visibility in the Attribute Editor.
example: (I may not have the object name correct)
setAttr "malcolm:geoHeadShape.primaryVisibility" 1;

Benjamin, have you tried a wrap deformer?
Question above: you can select the geo by turning off the layer's Reference setting.

Re: Referenced Malcolm Texture Error
Maya's polysmooth function tends to destroy materials like this. You may have applied materials on a lower resolution, then increased the resolution. Easiest fix is probably to select the polygons with the bad material and reassign those polygons to the right material. Or, go back to the non-smoothe...

Re: No controller comming in Malcolm Rig
You just need to load malcolm's picker files.
They are the .pkr files in the AnimSchoolPicker zip file:
malcolmBody_v109.pkr
malcolmFace_v109.pkr
Open them up and it should connect it right up.

Hi. This is not a rig problem.
You just need to animate the legs so they don't spread. The cycles need to be the same frame length per side, as a start.

Hi! Just take the keyframes off of ctlPlacement. An attribute there controls the smoothing. It probably shouldn't be in the controls set, but it is. There isn't a good way to change smooth levels for the whole scene. Although, if you make a script to do it, you can make a new button for that. BTW, A...

On Maya? The best way is to use a wrap deformer.
Only downside is when you smooth the rig, it explodes. You have to hide the geometry and make a new one for the different smooth level.
Or don't use the polysmoothing feature and instead render with Mental Ray.

You may want to contact the author of the mod, Josh Sobel regarding the texture.
The eyes only appear off because they are not smoothed. If you use the 2 button in the Picker (or res her up by changing the attribute on the Placement), it will look correct.
