Maya 2018 picker doesn't select

Post by ralaruyive » Tue Jul 16, 2019 1:42 am

I've installed AnimSchool Picker for Autodesk Maya 2018 and everything including the interface seems to work except for selecting controls themselves from imported .pkr files. Additionally I tried the "Namespace" option from referencing rigs as per a previous forum post suggestion but it doesn't work either. What is happening?

Did you reference in the rig with the Namespace option? Each object should have the namespace name like malcolm_v200:ctlPlacement not ctlPlacement.

As said above that doesn't seem to work. The picker apparently looks for objects that universally end with or use a semicolon but any rig I reference uses an underscore, I think that's the issue? In Namespace Options it's the standard :(root)

The functions like Button > Add One Button etc. work, this is exclusive to imported .pkr files

Hello! If you are a student, please email support for faster response.

You want to reference the character in with namespace option. It looks like you are using "prefix"- not recommended and Picker will not work.
